Within strolling distance you will have a never ending list of things to do, such as, Kilkenny Castle & Castle Park, The Butler Gallery, The Smithwick's Experience,  the merchant townhouse Rothe House & Gardens, St Canices's Cathedral with its Round Tower (well worth the climb to get a spectacular view of the City!) and the Medievel Mile Museum. Kilkenny is renowned for its boutique shopping, the craft studios and galleries that are dotted around its streets. The city's café culture too is tempting - hard to resist stopping by for a cuppa and sweet treat as you browse.

For families too, there's lots on offer with the Kilkenny Castle Park & Playground minutes' away and if they tire of the 21m pool with kiddies pool, then there are indoor activities like the cinema and bowling or the outdoor adventure activities of Castlecomer Discovery Park; a short drive away. For golf fans, the nearest golf courses includes the championship Jack Nicklaus designed, parkland course at Mount Juliet.

Or if you're in the mood for a leisurely day, simply wander and explore the city's medieval streets, taking in the heritage attractions, cafés, boutiques, galleries and craft studios along the way. An if you're still feeling energetic when you return to the hotel, how about a swim in our 21m pool a sauna. time in the steam room or Jacuzzi or in the extensive Gym.
